Personality: Though ostensibly skittish, Darkonium is really a brave and determined Venonat. She doesn't give up, especially when it depends on those close to her. She is intelligent and enjoys puzzles, especially when she can outsmart enemies. Living in the safety of the Safari Zone, she usually is curious about trainers but tries to avoid being caught. However, even if she is captured, she is outgoing and flexible and adjusts to changes well. She doesn't mind those who try to harass her and is good at ignoring others, almost to the point where she is imperturbably stolid. However, she is friendly on the inside and likes spending time with others, although she has a short temper. It's best to stay on her good side...

History: Born in the depths of the Safari Zone in a swarm of Venonat and Venomoth, Darkonium learned how to be friendly, and was popular among the group. She was brave and defended the small swarm when they needed it. Although the group only consisted of five or six Venomoth, and quite a few baby Venonat, it was organized and under the watchful eye of Tartarus, a darkly-colored and serious but understanding Venomoth. When he was captured by Team Rocket, since Darkonium was his son, she was hopefully to become leader of the swarm. However, her brother, Comet, was seen as more capable and became leader instead. Although remaining unperturbed by this incident, Darkonium was rather shocked.
